June 9th, 2009 - The ART-O-MAT in Wakefield
It’s here! What is it? A re-purposed cigarette vending machine that now distributes artworks scaled to fit a cigarette pack sized box! There are 9 artists to choose from and each work is only $5. Come by the Wakefield shop this weekend to check out Irene Lawerence’s paintings and contribute your own thoughts on text, writing, and mark making. Saturday, April 18th, join us for a reading at the Providence shop starting at 7pm. Featured writers, Jackie Corley (The Suburban Swindle), Timmy Waldron (World Takes) and Brian James Foley (The Tornado is not a Surrealist) are all published by Word Riot Press. Words to be accompanied by the usual beer wine and snacks…

Opening Sunday on The Wall at Myopic Books in Wakefield, A Furtive Assembly, sculpture by Kristin Sollenberger and Jill McLaughlin. An artists’ reception will take place from 3-5pm December 14th.
