June 28th, 2009 - Josie Morway at Myopic Books in Wakefield
Josie Morway shows works from her ongoing series UNTAME VS. DOMESTICATI in the Wakefield shop June 28th through July 26th. Included are exquisite paintings and watercolors, of seductive creatures from the animal kingdom. Also on display are word fragment paintings that bring to mind sign art of a bygone time torn to bits by a hurricane. We are left to guess what they could have be about. The opening reception is Sunday, June 28th, from 4-7pm.
June 9th, 2009 - The ART-O-MAT in Wakefield
It’s here! What is it? A re-purposed cigarette vending machine that now distributes artworks scaled to fit a cigarette pack sized box! There are 9 artists to choose from and each work is only $5.
